Lost for Words

A physical manifestation of the feeling of being lost for words, unable to produce speech or to find words to express a current state of emotion.

Malcolm Sutherland, trained at Central School of Ballet, former dancer with Nürnberg Ballet. Davidson Jaconello, former dancer with Alberta Ballet and National Theatre Mannheim. Jade Brider, trained at London Contemporary Dance School, worked with Yorke Dance Project.

This duet will follow the story of a woman who has been waiting for a very long time, repeating the same routine day after day, waiting for something. One day it will finally meet her, but she will not be able to recognize it for what she has wanted all her life, too consumed by the waiting by which her life is now defined.

Elisabeth Schilling
SIXFOLD

SIXFOLD takes you to the beginnings of a world, a different world, where distinctions, normally taken for granted, are yet to be drawn. In between categories and disciplines.

SIXFOLD takes you to the beginnings of a world, a different world, where distinctions, normally taken for granted, are yet to be drawn. In between categories and disciplines, with a sculpture by the visual artist and designer Alexander Ruth and music and sound by Phill Niblock and William ‘Bilwa’ Costa, the dancer and choreographer Elisabeth Schilling creates a foreign space of possibilities to be filled by nothing but the imagination.

Schilling thus presents an unusual production between dance and visual art. Initially developed in Seoul and premiered in Luxembourg, SIXFOLD has been performed over 40 times in 9 countries since.

Absolutely remarkable.” Marie-Laure Rolland, Luxemburger Wort
