Duckworth & Persson
Well Lit

Dance for Edith! Walk better! Speak louder! On the quest of outshining each other, what are Duckworth & Persson left with once the lights go up?

Well Lit is the first collaboration between dancemakers Anders Duckworth and Daniel Persson in which they draw inspiration from cabaret and popular culture, investigating the politics of performance and what it means to be a performer.  Duckworth & Persson are in a dialogue that subvert the norms, collaging music and image, these two long-haired humans, turn lighting a show into a dark comedic piece of dance and theatre.

The piece premiered at The Friday League in Theatre Delicatessen in 2015

Shannelle ‘Tali’ Fergus
Mum. Edit. More

A highly personal and poignant audio visual journey exploring the beauty of the human voice, pondering the effects of gentrification and reflecting on the nature of change.

Shannelle ‘Tali’ Fergus is a creative artist based in London. Her choreographic style is a fusion of all of her training and influences, namely hip-hop and contemporary.

‘The quietest of moves can speak volumes.’

With initial inspiration from Solange Knowles’ A Seat At The Table, gaining momentum during a trip to Brixton 2017 with her mother via her phone’s voice recorder, Tali presents her solo work, Mum. Edit. More.

'I was gripped – absolutely insane movement & so much truth in what was said. Stunning!'

- Audience member, Scratch Dat! (Rich Mix), July 2017
