Launched in 1994 to great acclaim, Richard Alston Dance Company has grown into one of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary dance companies.
Combining new choreography with the re-creation of seminal works from Alston’s career the company tours throughout the UK and overseas, including regular London seasons at Sadler's Wells.
Friends of Richard Alston Dance Company
The Friends of Richard Alston Dance Company launched in 2009. A group of individuals passionate about Richard Alston’s internationally acclaimed work they very generously assisted the Company with their trip to perform at the Joyce Theatre in New York City in January 2010 and most recently supported the Company’s planned interactive website, which will bring vital high quality resource material to students studying the work of Richard Alston. The site will include clips of performances and studio rehearsals, and information about music, technique, costumes, lighting and tour dates.
The Friends receive complimentary tickets for the Company’s annual At Home performances at The Place, advanced notification of tour dates and two open rehearsals and question and answer sessions with the Company a year.
