The Place runs many professional development projects and programmes for independent dance artists.
A key part of our professional development offer is stuctured around the two yearly cycle of Choreodrome, for research and development, and The Place Prize, sponsored by Bloomberg, the most prestigious choreographic competition in Europe. We also offer many other recurring and one-off opportunities throughout the year.
JUICE is a comprehensive section of this website with audition and job listings, all sorts of opportunities for both dancers and choreographers, factsheets and information to download on topics including Legal Structures, Choreographic Platforms in the UK, European contacts and a dancers' survival guide to New York City.
The Place runs a morning class for professional-level dancers on weekdays.

We have launched a Pioneering Fund specifically to help us support those ideas which push contemporary dance into previously unexplored territory. We very much need the support of individuals who share our vision for creating new work and who recognise our vital role in nurturing new talent and supporting pioneering activity. The Pioneering Fund will provide The Place with the financial resources necessary to continue to take risks and invest in ground-breaking initiatives, as and when new opportunities arise. A gift to the Pioneering Fund will help us ensure the very best future for contemporary dance. You can support the Fund by giving online or by downloading and returning a Pioneering Fund donation form.
