We normally advise you to try one of our taster days first to ensure that the CAT programme is for you.  Taster days enable applicants to attend a practical workshop in ballet & contemporary techniques and creative tasks. You are invited to attend a presentation and tour of the building, giving further details on the programme and offering an opportunity for you to ask any questions.

The next Taster Day will be held in 2011

You can download an application below or call the CAT Coordinator, Alison Gee on 020 7121 1037 or email to book your place.

If you cannot attend a taster day, you are still able to make an application to audition - you will need to audition for a place.  CAT auditions are normally held in April;

Dates for 2011 TBC

All applicants will be allocated an audition date dependent on age and ability

Applications for 2010-11 are now closed.

The CAT programme follows the academic year so successful new applicants will commence the course in September 2010.  For more information contact the CAT Coordinator, Alison Gee on Tel: 020 7121 1037 or e-mail alison.gee@theplace.org.uk

Audition Day
The audition will consist of a ballet and contemporary technique and creative tasks lead by one of our regular teachers and will last approximately 2 hours. Applicants will not be required to prepare anything in advance.

A panel of up to six experts watch each audition to assess applicant's suitability; successful candidates will be invited for an interview with their parent/guardian on a subsequent date to be confirmed. Offers of places will only be made once students have been auditioned and interviewed.
