The Place is partners with movingeast, a space for dance, martial arts and complementary medicine in north London.
movingeast has a studio on the first floor of St. Matthias Church Hall, standing in its own grounds in a quiet residential area, between Newington Green and Kingsland Road.
The studio is available for hire as a rehearsal and workshop space to professional artists in independent dance, and to other organisations:
- Monday – Friday 10.00am – 5.30pm
- Saturday 10.00am – 6.00pm (only during August & September)
- Sunday 10.00am – 5.00pm (min 4 hours hire)
It is a light and airy space having windows on all sides and a high ceiling. It is well equipped with state of the art Harlequin sprung floor (the working area is 38' x 27'6" or 11.4m x 8.25m), built in quadraphonic sound system (with ipod connection), electric central heating and includes comfortable changing/rest areas, with tea and coffee making facilities.
