Wild, energetic and thrilling, Overdrive is powered by the relentless push of Riley's percussive, cross-rhythmic keyboard studies. Trance-like in its effect, the choreography demands extreme virtuosity and stamina from its performers and is rightly acclaimed as a modern masterpiece of British dance.

In the first half of the performance Richard Alston will introduce his choreography and discuss the themes of the work with assistance from dancers in the company.  Students will gain an invaluable insight into the structure of the piece and a deeper understanding of the work of the company as a whole.   After the interval, Overdrive will be performed with full lights and costumes allowing students to experience all the energy of the piece. A question session will follow to allow for specific queries to be answered.
