Simon Ellis is a New Zealand born independent artist. His films have screened around the world, and his performance work Gertrud was a finalist in The Place Prize 2008. He misses running and is currently trying to grow a beard.

Desire lines are the pathways that humans create in order to make their lives more efficient. This project, also provisionally titled Desire Lines, uses literal and metaphorical pathways as a starting point for a reflection on the nature of desire and love.
