Frauke Requardt is a German born, London based choreographer. Previously an Associate Artist at The Place (2004-2006), she is now an Associate Artist at Greenwich Dance. Her recent work includes Pictures at an Exhibition with theatre director Daniel Kramer, which was presented at the Young Vic, and Electric Hotel, a site-specific installation based in King’s Cross created in collaboration with David Rosenberg.
Freddie Opoku-Addaie has performed and toured with Candoco Dance Company, Saju Hari, Clod Ensemble, Rashpal Singh Bansal, Wayne McGregor/Random Dance, and Jonzi D. He is Associate Artist at the Royal Opera House from 2009-2011. Freddie’s choreographic breakthrough Silence Speaks Volumes was a finalist in The Place Prize 2006 and the piece went on to win first prize at the VI Certamen Internacional de Coreografia, Burgos in 2007. Freddie received a Trailblazer award from ADAD (Association of Dance of the African Diaspora) in 2008 and was awarded the Robin Howard Foundation Commission in 2009, creating the trio Mis-thread, which will be presented during this year's Dance Umbrella.
Fidelity Project
In this experiment Freddie and Frauke become choreographers from the inside. After a good few years of directing from the outside based on visual information, the two will make choreographic decisions focusing on the sensory memory of their physical negotiation with each other.
