It was Martha Graham who suggested to The Place’s founder Robin Howard that Robert Cohan would be the right person to lead a new organisation dedicated to the development of contemporary dance in the UK.

Cohan is the constant in the 40 year history of The Place as performer, choreographer, teacher, leader and inspiration.

In this event, he appears in conversation with Kenneth Tharp and Richard Alston, respectively Chief Executive and Artistic Director of The Place and both former students of Cohan, considering the impact and legacy of 40 years of The Place.

Tickets are free but places should be booked in advance by calling 020 7121 1100.
