The Place has appointed Ellie Beedham to the new role of Producer within its Theatre and Artist Development department. Ellie will work closely with Eddie Nixon, Director of Theatre and Artist Development, on the development and presentation of work for Britain’s busiest dance theatre.

Ellie Beedham is Executive Director of Stan Won’t Dance, the dance company she founded with Liam Steel and Rob Tannion. She has also worked on publicity and outreach for the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, as the programmer of the Folkestone Literary Festival, and in senior marketing roles for Laban and the Lyric Hammersmith. In 2009 she was the project manager for The Place’s Touch Wood season.

Eddie Nixon said:
“Ellie has a great track record as a creative producer of work which brings artists and audiences together in exciting, engaging ways. She has a key role to play in shaping a theatre programme for The Place that gives both valuable opportunities to choreographers and companies, and enjoyable, provocative nights out to a diverse range of dance-goers. I’m delighted to be working with her to achieve this.”
