Henrietta Hale trained at the Royal Ballet School, Rambert School, Laban and Middlesex University. She has been producing her own work for 6 years, both for theatre and more recently for screen. Recent works include Waiting for Bacon, a dance for screen project with film maker Peter Anderson, and A cross and then across was a collaboration with Rachel lopez de la Nieta commissioned for The Place Prize 2004.
She has also been choreographing within visual arts projects. This includes a collaboration with artist Matti Braun on a theatre piece - The Alien - produced by The Showroom Gallery London and internationally. She also choreographed for two films by visual artist Daria Martin: Wintergarden and Loneliness and the Modern Pentathlon were both screened at the Tate Galleries during the recent Triennial exhibitions.
Henrietta has worked as an independent dancer for 11 years with a range of companies, including Ricochet Dance productions, (choreographers Fin Walker and Lucy Guerrin), Rosemary Lee Dances, Angela Woodhouse, Yolande Snaith Theatredance, Russell Maliphant, and Diversions Dance Company. She teaches regularly at Laban.
