After training at Thamesdown, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Alvin Ailey, Fleur Darkin graduated from Bretton Hall with a first class degree, and Leeds with a Masters in Philosophy.

Since 2000, Fleur has been making dance for the stage and screen. In 2003 she was nominated for the Jerwood Choreography award. Theatre collaborations include two productions with Everyman, Liverpool and choreography on Virgins with John Retallack and Company of Angels at Soho Theatre. Commissioned by Meiningen Theatre (Germany), Fleur wrote Young Dogs in 2004.

Fleur has choreographed in theatres, schools, universities, nightclubs, castles, and prisons. In 2004, she made Unspoken for Bretton Hall and Cured for London Contemporary Dance School. Her production Hotel toured the UK in 2005, and she is currently developing a new work Augustine to tour later this year.
