Maxine Doyle is a Bonnie Bird Choreography Award-winner and recipient of a Year of the Artist commission from South East Arts. Trained at Roehampton (BA Hons) and Laban Centre, London (MA), Maxine was artistic director of First Person 1996 - 2002. Full-length touring work for the company included Plastic Chill (1999/2000) and It’s Only a Gameshow (2002). Maxine also has an interest in integrated dance (Rough and Tumble for StopGap Dance Company in 2003 and Who Dunnit? for High Spin Dance Company in 2004). Maxine’s association with Punchdrunk began with Sleep No More (2003) , since when she has choreographed and co-directed Woyceck (2004) The Firebird Ball (2005), and The Yellow Wallpaper (2005) with Felix Barrett.
Felix Barrett graduated from Exeter University with a 1st Class BA in Drama. He founded award-winning site sympathetic theatre company Punchdrunk in 1999 and has since staged all 14 productions with the company at disused, historic and other sites across London and the South-West. Felix has lectured in drama at Exeter University and worked freelance as staff producer and revival director for English Touring Opera. He has also directed two large-scale opening events for Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, Encounters in 2003 and The Maritime Mysteries in 2005. In October 2005, he staged the opening event for the newly re-launched De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea, working with composer Orlando Gough, The Shout Chorus and a community cast of hundreds.
