How can I pay for classes?

Term Enrolment:
This is where you pick one class on a particular day and do that class each week for 11 weeks and costs £99 (£85 Concessions). This is the most cost effective way if you know you want to attend the same class each week.

Drop in:
Drop in participants may take part in any open level or level 1-3 technique class. Introductory, Beginners courses and the performance company are not available to drop into.  Drop in places are given on a first come first served basis to whoever turns up on the night - we suggest arriving early to guarantee a spot. Drop in places cost £11 per class (£9 concessions).

Carnet Card Holder:
Carnet cards operate on a similar basis to the drop in method as they can be redeemed against the same selection of classes. A carnet card is available in a block of 6 or 12 sessions costing £60 (£50 concessions) and £115 (£95 concessions) respectively so is better value for money than paying per class. The other benefit of a carnet is a booking facility where you can call us on the day you wish to take part and we can reserve your place in class - this is very useful as classes fill up fast.  Carnet Cards cannot be used for the introduction & beginners courses or the Performance Company.

When are the classes?
The Autumn term runs for 11 weeks from Sat 24 September- Fri 9 December 2011.

What should I wear to class?
Whatever you feel comfortable in that will not restrict your movement. Participants generally wear loose-fitting trousers, tights or shorts with a t-shirt or leotard. You may dance barefoot, in tight socks or in ballet shoes.

How long are the classes?
90 minutes (Performance Project sessions are 2 hours and Pilates is 60 minutes.)

Can I take part if I'm pregnant, or injured?
We take every care to ensure the well-being and safety of class participants. If you are pregnant, or have an injury or a medical condition that might be aggravated by taking class, please seek prior advice from your GP, the Classes & Courses Office or your class tutor.

What are your arrangements for disabled or deaf people?
The Place is an accessible building and we endeavour to make our classes available to everyone. If you have an access or any other requirements or you are not sure of the suitability of a particular class please contact us on 020 7121 1090 or email . We ask that wheelchair users book their spaces in class in advance as our class sizes are limited by safe practice requirements.

Concessions
Full time students, unemployed, senior citizens, Equity members, Camden Wellness Card holders and disabled people are all entitled to a concession.  Proof of your concession must be shown when purchasing any of the above.  Parents of children attending the Young Dancer's Saturday Programme are eligible for a concession on Saturdays only.
