The Place, the UK's premier centre for contemporary dance, has launched an online resource for independent dance professionals called JUICE. Previously printed as a monthly magazine, JUICE can be accessed by visiting www.theplace.org.uk/juice.
JUICE lists details of professional development opportunities for dance artists, as well as information on performance platforms, auditions, funding, classes, training and conferences - both in the UK and overseas. There are also links to agencies concerned with the health issues of dance professionals and publications and websites aimed at the dance industry. The service is free, but requires user registration and a password protected login.
Information can also be submitted by members of the public. Opportunities must be suitable for professional dance artists and will be included at the discretion of the website editor. There are no deadlines for JUICE submissions and the website will be updated on a regular basis.
