Designed to develop dance technique and style, these classes offer a clear progression from Level 1, and are also suitable if you have experience or are returning to dance. Akane will teach a Limón/Release based class.
Teacher's Biography
Born in Japan, Akane Abe completed a Bachelor in Sports Science at Chukyo University and subsequently taught aerobic and jazz dance before she moved to Europe. She trained in mime theatre in Helsinki with Adam Darius, this was followed by full-time training at London Contemporary Dance School. On completion of her training at the school she was invited to join Genau Dance Company performing and directing dance work in England, Germany and Japan. She is also a qualified Pilates teacher. For the past six years she has been invited by Shiho Kanazawa Dance Company to teach and perform in Japan every Summer.
