Individual applications will also be considered from candidates who have a high level of professional experience, and who have the knowledge, understanding, skill, motivation, experience, physical and mental aptitude to succeed at this advanced level of training. - Visa Applications for International Students
Following an offer of a place and payment of the deposit for one of our postgraduate programmes, the Head of Student Support Services will make contact to begin the preparations required to initiate an application for a Tier 4 (general) visa for study in the United Kingdom. We strongly advise that overseas students begin the application process early as it can take several months to complete.
The United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) will require evidence of English Language proficiency before issuing a visa for study in the United Kingdom. Please make arrangements to take either the IELTS or ToEFL exam prior to audition; the minimum required level for postgraduate study is IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or ToEFL 580. If you attain this level you will also be eligible to be considered for progression from the Postgraduate Diploma to the Master of Arts qualification. - English Lanuage Proficiency
In order to be considered for progression from the Postgraduate Diploma to the Master of Arts qualification, LCDS requires evidence of English Language proficiency. Please make arrangements to take either the IELTS or ToEFL exam prior to audition; the minimum required level for postgraduate study is IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or ToEFL 580.
If you do not attain this level but nevertheless have good communication skills in English you may be able to follow the practice-based route through the Postgraduate Diploma which does not require an academic essay. In this case you will not be eligible for progression from the Postgraduate Diploma to the Master of Arts qualification. These decisions are made on a one-to-one basis depending on students’ ability to participate fully in all practice-based options and therefore benefit adequately from the programme. Due to the UK Border Agency requirements this route is not an option for international students.
