The training at London Contemporary Dance School is recognised as one of the most intensive vocational learning experiences in contemporary dance and offers a unique range of studio-based technique and creative activities.
The Fund for Excellence was established to raise and distribute bursaries to students in need of additional financial support. These awards make a real difference to those who might otherwise not have the resources necessary to complete their training. The high physical and academic demands of our programmes, alongside the hours of training required, make it very difficult for students to hold part-time jobs that fully cover their study costs.
Applications to the Fund have almost doubled this year, reflecting the growing need for student support. Unlike many other dance organisations, we have no endowed student support funds to draw upon and rely solely on the generous support of trusts and individuals to help our students through their studies. Please help us support the next generation of dance artists by making a gift to the Fund for Excellence.
Supporters of the Fund for Excellence will be acknowledged in The Place’s annual report and on our website.
You can support the Fund by giving online or by downloading and returning a Fund for Excellence donation form.
